WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Here is what you’ll need to make these strawberry cheesecake roll-ups:
- Bread: I used whole wheat bread here, but any other type of sandwich bread works as well.
- Cream Cheese: I used full fat cream cheese.
- Strawberries: The main source of sweetness for these roll-ups. Try to use strawberries that are ripe, sweet and not sour.
- Egg: Used to firm up the liquids in the bread.
- Milk: Used to add creaminess to the batter.
- Cinnamon: Warm spice that adds flavor the the batter.
- Vanilla Extract: Used to enhance the natural sweetness of the roll-ups.
- Butter: For pan-frying.
PROCESS
- Remove the crust from the slices of bread and roll out flat using a rolling pin.
- Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on each slice.
- Add sliced strawberries to one end and roll into a log.
- Whisk together the egg, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract to form the batter.
- Quickly dip the roll-ups into the batter and coat all of the sides. Shake off the excess batter.
- Melt butter on a pan and cook roll-ups until all sides are brown.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
These roll-ups are best served fresh but can be refrigerated for up to 2 days. To reheat, pan fry on low heat until warmed through. To freeze, store in a freezer-safe Ziploc bag for up to 1 month.
SUBSTITUTIONS
- Strawberries: You may replace the strawberries with any other berry such as blueberries or raspberries.
- Cream cheese: You may replace the cream cheese with ricotta cheese or a nut/seed butter spread.
RECIPE NOTES
- Use a bread that is easy to roll out. Some types of bread break apart easily and would not be ideal for this recipe.
- These roll-ups can be customized with any fillings! Jams and other spreads are great alternatives.
- These roll-ups pair well with a drizzle of maple syrup or powdered sugar dusted on top for the adults!

Just made these for my son but I used blueberries instead of strawberries because all I had was strawberry cream cheese. My 16 month old is eating them up! I wish I could post a pic on here to show his enjoyment lol. Thanks for this recipe!

Made these today for my 10 month old (2.5 month premie) and he loved it. Super quick and easy to hold for babies adjusting to self feeding. He has 2 teeth and another 2 coming out so he’s adjusting to really chewing and this was great for him to have without worried of choking. I used blueberries since that’s all we had.
I’m so glad to hear that your little one enjoyed these rollups! Thanks for sharing your feedback, Carol!😊
