What You’ll Need

Here’s what you’ll need to make these apple fritters:

Ingredients to make apple fritters.
  • Apple: The star ingredient for these fritters. I highly suggest using a Honeycrisp apple for these fritters since they are crisp and naturally sweet, but you can use any sweet apple you have on hand. Fuji apples are my second favorite option next to Honeycrisp!
  • Flour: I used all-purpose flour in this recipe, but you may replace it with a different type of flour.
  • Egg: Used as a binder to help hold the fritters together.
  • Baking Powder: Used to allow the fritters to rise.
  • Cinnamon: Provides an extra warm spice and subtle sweetness.

See the recipe card below for full information on ingredients and quantities.

Ingredient Substitutions & Additions

  • Egg: For an egg-free version, omit the egg and add in 2 extra tablespoons of flour, 2 tbsp milk, and 1 tbsp oil.
  • All-purpose flour: You may replace the all-purpose flour with oat flour or whole wheat flour.
