These creamy orange creamsicle popsicles taste like the nostalgic ice cream truck treat, but made with simple, wholesome ingredients. They have that bright citrusy orange flavor, with a sweet yogurt cream swirled throughout, and the smoothest texture that stays creamy when stored. They’re perfect for hot summer days, afternoon snacks, or a fun homemade frozen treat.

These orange creamsicle popsicles are the kind of treats you make “for the kids” but somehow end up reaching for one every time you open the freezer. The mandarin orange base is fresh, sweet, and extra creamy, and paired with that vanilla yogurt swirl, it tastes just like a classic orange creamsicle. If you love my Pineapple Popsicles or Mango Ice Cream Bars, these have that same creamy, homemade frozen treat feel but with the perfect orange vanilla combo.
The best part is they come together with just a handful of ingredients tossed into the blender. Similar to my Homemade Ice Pops and Healthy Watermelon Popsicles, these are one of those freezer staples that are so nice to have on hand when you need an easy refreshing snack on a hot day.

What You’ll Need
Here is what you’ll need to make these orange creamsicle popsicles:

- Mandarins: Fresh mandarins give these popsicles their naturally sweet, bright orange flavor. I love using mandarins because they are sweeter and less acidic than many larger oranges.
- Full Fat Canned Coconut Milk: This adds richness and helps create that ultra creamy smooth texture that keeps the popsicles from freezing too icy.
- Full-Fat Greek Yogurt: Used in both the orange base and the creamy swirl for that classic creamy creamsicle taste.
- Maple Syrup: For added sweetness.
- Vanilla Extract: Gives the popsicles that classic orange creamsicle flavor.
- Salt: A tiny pinch balances and enhances all of the sweetness.
See the recipe card below for full information on ingredients and quantities.
Recipe Substitutions & Additions
- Mandarins: Mandarins can be replaced with clementines, tangerines, or peeled sweet oranges.
- Maple Syrup: Honey works well in place of maple syrup (if serving to little ones over the age of 1).
- Greek Yogurt: To make these popsicles dairy-free, swap Greek yogurt with a thick coconut yogurt, not a runny almond/oat yogurt. Runny yogurts freeze more icy and won’t give that luscious creamsicle ribbon.
Step-by-Step Instructions

STEP 1: Add the mandarins, coconut milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt to a high-powered blender and blend until completely smooth (Images 1 & 2). You want the mixture to be completely smooth with no chunks or pulp remaining.
STEP 2: In a small bowl, stir together the Greek yogurt, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until smooth (Image 3).
STEP 3: Use a spoon, piping bag, or ziplock bag with the corner snipped off to dollop or drizzle a little of the yogurt swirl mixture onto each popsicle mold (Image 4).

STEP 4: Pour the orange base mixture into the molds until about ¾ full (Image 5). Dollop the remaining yogurt swirl mixture into each mold and use a toothpick or knife to gently swirl it in (Image 6). Do not overmix so you keep those creamy swirls throughout.
STEP 5: Freeze for 4 to 6 hours, or until completely solid.
Storage Instructions
Once frozen, store the bars in an airtight, freezer-safe container to prevent freezer burn. I love storing my bars in these plastic popsicle sleeves and sealing them closed with this mini bag sealer, but any type of airtight storage will work!

Tips For Success
- Use a high-powered blender to make sure that the ingredients are fully blended and smooth. I love using this nutribullet blender. A super smooth orange base gives you that creamy ice-cream-like bite.
- Use sweet mandarins so that the flavor of the oranges really shines through.
- Do not over-swirl the yogurt mixture. A few gentle swirls are enough to create that creamsicle marbled look.
- Stick with full-fat ingredients. The full-fat coconut milk and yogurt make a huge difference in preventing icy popsicles.

Yes! Any sweet orange variety works, but mandarins tend to be sweeter and less tart. If you’re using oranges, use 2 medium oranges in place of the 5 mandarins.
Using full-fat creamy ingredients like coconut milk and yogurt helps create a smoother frozen texture.
Yes! You can blend everything together if you want a quicker version, and it’ll still have the creamy orange taste.
