- Mozzarella Cheese: For that cheesy pizza flavor and taste.
- Parmesan Cheese: For added flavor to the crust.
- Pizza Sauce: Use a good quality pizza sauce for the best flavor.
- Seasonings: Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper are incorporated into the crust for those classic pizza flavors.
- Toppings: Classic pepperoni is a favorite, but feel free to use any toppings you like!
See the recipe card below for full information on ingredients and quantities.
Recipe Substitutions & Additions
- Ground Chicken: The ground chicken may be replaced with ground turkey.
- Eggs: For an egg-free version, omit the egg and add in an extra 2 tablespoons of mozzarella cheese to help bind the crust when baked. You can also replace it with 2 to 3 tablespoons of applesauce.
- Cheeses: For a dairy-free version, substitute the cheese for dairy-free shredded cheese. You may swap the Parmesan cheese with 2 to 3 tablespoons of nutritional yeast.
Step-by-step Instructions

STEP 1: In a bowl, mix together the ground chicken, egg, mozzarella, parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined (Images 1 & 2).
STEP 2: Line a 9 by 13-inch baking sheet with parchment paper and add the chicken mixture onto the baking sheet. Use a spatula to press it into a thin, even rectangle and smooth it out (Images 3 & 4).

STEP 3: Bake the crust: Bake at 425°F for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the crust is cooked through and dry to the touch (Image 5). Let the crust cool for 5 minutes before adding toppings.
STEP 4: Add toppings: Spread a layer of pizza sauce over the crust (Image 5) and sprinkle with an even layer of mozzarella cheese (Image 7). Top with pepperoni slices (or any of your favorite toppings) (Image 8).
STEP 5: Return the pizza to the oven and bake for another 8–10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Storage Instructions
Once cooled, store leftover slices in an airtight container or wrap tightly with plastic wrap or foil in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days. You may freeze sliced in a freezer-safe airtight container for up to 2 months. Reheat slices at 350°F for about 8–10 minutes or until heated through.

Tips For Success
- Don’t skip the parchment paper! Parchment paper lined on the baking sheet will prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
- Try your best to smooth the ground chicken into an even layer so that it bakes through evenly in the oven. The crust will shrink when it bakes, and this is normal.
- You can make smaller mini-sized crusts to allow your little ones to get involved and customize their own!
