Air fryers are becoming a popular kitchen staple in many homes. They are commonly used for crispy fries and chicken, but are great for roasting veggies too!

Here is what you’ll need to make these air fryer green beans:

Ingredients to make air fryer green beans. See recipe card for detailed ingredient quantities.
  • Green Beans
  • Oil
  • Garlic Powder
  • Black Pepper

Step By Step Instructions

  1. Wash the green beans and pat dry.
  2. Coat the green beans with oil, garlic powder and black pepper.
  3. Place the green beans in the air fryer basket. Try to make sure that the green beans do not overlap too much.
  4. Cook the green beans at 370 degrees F for 7 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. If you would like softer green beans, add an extra 1-2 minutes.

Ingredient Substitutions

  • Fresh green beans: The fresh green beans may be replaced with frozen. To use frozen green beans, air fry for 12-15 minutes. Check the green beans at 12 minutes and adjust the cook time as needed.
  • Oil: I used olive oil in this recipe, but you may also use coconut oil or avocado oil.

Recipe Notes

  • Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket. If the basket is too full, the green beans will not cook evenly. I love the size and functionality of this ninja air fryer!
  • If you prefer softer green beans, add a few minutes to the cook time. When making them for my little guys, I usually air fry the green beans for 9-10 minutes to make them more tender.
  • After removing baby’s portion, toss the green beans with a little salt to taste for everyone else!
