Course: Breakfast, Snack
Cuisine: American
Servings: 2 servings
- 2 small or 1.5 large overripe bananas (about 1 ¼ cups sliced bananas)
- ¼ cup rolled oats
- ¾ cups milk
- 2 tbsp peanut butter
- ¼ cup spinach, packed (about 1 handful)
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup ice cubes
Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. If the mixture is thick and hard to blend, add in a little more milk.
Pour into cups and serve!
- Make sure to use overripe bananas for the best natural sweetness. You can add in a little maple syrup if you'd like for more sweetness, but I find that the bananas provide plenty of natural sweetness on their own when ripe with brown spots.
- Make sure to blend the smoothie until it is completely smooth and there are no chunks of oats remaining. I love using this nutribullet blender combo to blend the mixture into a smooth consistency.
- You may use frozen bananas for this smoothie. If you are using frozen bananas, you may want to either use a little less ice or add a little more milk to help it blend well.
- I love serving these smoothies in these toddler glass tumbler jars with silicone sleeves. They are the perfect size smoothie servings for little ones and easy for them to grip and hold!
