Equipment

Ingredients

Strawberry Ice Pops

  • 2 cups strawberries
  • ¼ cup apple juice 100% juice with no added sugar
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or to taste
  • ¼ tsp lime juice

Mango Ice Pops

  • 2 cups mango chunks
  • ¼ cup orange juice 100% juice with no added sugar
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or to taste
  • ¼ tsp lime juice

Pineapple Ice Pops

  • 2 cups pineapple chunks
  • ¼ cup apple juice 100% juice with no added sugar
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or to taste
  • ¼ tsp lime juice

Spinach Apple Ice Pops

  • 2 cups apple chunks
  • ¼ cup spinach tightly packed
  • ½ cup apple juice 100% juice with no added sugar
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or to taste
  • ¼ tsp lime juice

Blueberry Ice Pops

  • cups blueberries
  • ¼ cup apple juice 100% juice with no added sugar
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or to taste
  • ¼ tsp lime juice

Instructions

  • Blend the fruits (and veggies if using), juice, maple syrup, and lime juice until smooth. If the mixture seems thick, add a little extra liquid until smooth.
  • Taste the fruit mixture and adjust as needed. Depending on how ripe your fruit is, you may want to add a little more maple syrup
  • Pour the mixture into popsicle sleeves, leaving a little space at the top (Image 3). Freeze the ice pops for 4 to 6 hours, or until completely solid

Notes

  • Use a small funnel or measuring cup with a spout to pour the fruit mixture into the popsicle sleeves. Doing this helps prevent spills and makes filling easier.
  • Don’t overfill the popsicle sleeves. Leave about half an inch of space at the top to allow the liquid to expand as it freezes without bursting the sleeve.
  • I made 15 long ice pops (3 of each flavor) using these 11-inch popsicle sleeves. You can make between 20 to 25 smaller-sized pops by using these 7.5-inch popsicle sleeves. If you are making fewer flavors, I'd suggest doubling or tripling the ingredients to be able to make more pops.
  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness as desired. Depending on the ripeness of your fruits, you may be able to reduce the amount of maple syrup needed. Taste the mixture and add more if desired.
