Ingredients

  • 1 package crescent rolls
  • 3-4 tbsp pizza sauce
  • 4 oz mozzarella cheese
  • 24 pepperoni slices
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Slice the cheese block into 8 thin rectangles and set aside.
  • On each triangle, spoon 1/2 teaspoon of pizza sauce evenly on top. Be careful not to add too much pizza sauce so that the rolls do not end up soggy when baked. Lay one piece of cheese and a few pepperoni slices on top (Image 3). Roll tightly, starting from the widest end toward the tip. Pinch the ends closed as needed and place rolls seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  • Make the egg wash mixture. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder until combined.
  • Brush each roll with the beaten egg mixture.
  • Bake the rolls for 15 minutes or until golden and puffed. Let the crescent pizza rolls cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Seal the edges well. Roll each crescent tightly and press the edges gently to keep the cheese from oozing out while baking.
  • Don't overfill them. You can want to pack in extra cheese or pepperoni, but too much filling can cause the rolls to burst open in the oven.
  • Line your baking sheet. Use parchment paper or a silicone mat to prevent sticking.
